Vancouver Church hosts AUP Alumni Rally
September 12 & 13, 2008. The Cascadia (BC) Chapter of the Alumni of the Adventist University of the Philippines (formerly Philippine Union College) held a weekend rally at the Vancouver Filipino SDA Church. Guests coming from California included Dr. Alfonso Miguel, Jr. (AWESNA president) and his wife Loida, Dr. Simeon Rosete (senior pastor, Central Filipino SDA Church in Los Angeles and AWESNA PRO), Annie Ibarra-Madigan (co-chair of Endowment Fund project), and Dr. Dely Mina (singer, first soprano). Pastor Rosete inspired the waiting congregation with three beautiful messages of "Choosing Your Battles" (Friday night), "Destination: Heaven" (Sabbath morning divine worship), and "The Secret to Happiness" (Sabbath sundown worship). Dr. Miguel and Annie Madigan gave their respective reports and updates during the afternoon AWESNA hour. Various musical talents, including Dr. Mina, rendered praises to the Lord immediately after. Supper was served and socials followed and had the participants enjoy lighter moments and getting better acquainted with each other. The event was participated and attended by members from various churches in the area. The weekend was indeed full of blessings and a very memorable one. Thank you all for your contribution.
